THE LEAS CLIFF HALL, The Leas, Folkestone, Kent. CT20 2DZ.
Tel  :  01303 228600.  Web  :  www.leascliffhall.co.uk

The Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone is our premier venue for our concerts and has been used by Folkestone Choral Society for many years. The Leas Cliff Hall hosts many of the major entertainment events in Folkestone.  The Leas Cliff Hall is located in a unique situation on The Leas overlooking the sea at the southern end of Clifton Gardens. The foyer is accessed at street level and the Hall is built into and out from the cliff face. A car park is available and is accessed from Sandgate Road and a covered walkway connects the car park to the Hall.  The Hall seats 900 people, but because the stage is too small for our choir the seating is re-configured to face the western end of the Hall, where our own shared tiered staging is erected and dismantled for each concert we perform there. There are bar facilities for use during performance intermissions and a cafe in the foyer which is open for drinks and snacks before performances and during intervals. The Leas Cliff Hall was formerly a smaller venue known as the The Leas Shelter built in 1894 and seated just 200 people.  In 1924 a decision was made to enlarge the venue to its current size and it was re-opened in 1927.

HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, Sandgate Road, Folkestone, Kent. CT20 2HQ
Tel:  01303 256040.  Web: www.trinitybenefice.Co.UK

The Holy Trinity Church is situated on the north side of Sangate Road between Earl`s Avenue and Grimston Gardens.   Over the years this church has hosted many of our concerts. There is seating for up to 800 people. There is limited parking on the grounds of the church, however, nearby there is plenty of street parking.  Building work on the church began in 1868 and continued through to 1888 with vicarage and spire added latterly. The church is built of brick with Kentish rag corner stones. There are some exceptional stained glass windows.  The church is in good repair.
To facilitate our choir numbers  we erect and dismantle our own shared staging for each concert. During concert intermissions beverage refreshments are on sale.

ST. LEONARDS CHURCH, The Vicarage, Oak Walk, Hythe, Kent. CT21 5DN.
Tel : 01303 266217. Web :
www.stleonardschurchhythekent.org

This church stands high above the town of Hythe overlooking the English Channel with views of France on a clear day.  There is limited parking close by with a small car park to the east of the church. Some access roads are narrow with difficult passing and limited turning places.  For over 900 years this church has been used as a place of pilgrimage and worship. One of the most interesting feature of this church is the contents of the crypt.  Within the crypt is the largest collection of ancient human bones and skulls in Britain.  There are various theories as to the origins of these bones and ongoing analysis and studies will no doubt positively identify their origins.
This church is renown for its annual programme of music concerts both secular and religious.  It has a close association with the Hythe Festival during which period many music concerts are held covering a mixed genre of music.
St. Leonards is one of the few churches in Kent that maintains a traditional boys and mens choir.  Also, a mixed choir of men and women was formed in the early 1990`s and recently The Hythe Girls Choir was set up.  To facilitate our choir numbers  we erect and dismantle our own shared staging for each concert. During concert intermissions beverage refreshments are on sale.
